Irina Forrester
Irina is a British artist with formal academic training, currently based in Singapore. After relocating from London over six years ago, she returned to her artistic roots, dedicating herself to developing her practice through continued education and active engagement with the local art scene. She completed short courses at LASALLE College of the Arts and NAFA, and is a regular participant in Singapore’s life drawing and portrait groups.
Her work is grounded in representational art, yet she continues to explore the space between realism and abstraction. Irina works across a range of subjects, including still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and figure studies. While oil painting remains her preferred medium due to its expressive potential, she also enjoys working with acrylics, gouache, charcoal, and ink.
In recent years, Irina has exhibited extensively in Singapore and abroad, with over 25 group shows and art fairs in the past three years. Her works are held in private collections in the UK, Europe, Russia, and Singapore. She continues to refine her distinctive voice through observation, experimentation, and a commitment to technical excellence.
